The moment we've been waiting for has finally happened! The first BMW ActiveE, BMW's highly-acclaimed luxury EV, has finally hit U.S. soil. The proud owners? Two "Electronauts", who are not only leasing the new BMW EV but providing the German automaker with feedback: Tom and Meredith Maloughney.

Of course, the Maloughneys represent only two Electronauts who will be giving BMW feedback on the ActiveE, over the next two years...

Many automakers are exploring the electric car, BMW included. The ActiveE will be one of BMW's newest EV designs, but the great Bavarian automaker is taking it one step further and asking BMW fans to become "electronauts."

What is an electronaut you might ask?  BMW defines them as "surveyor of the present, and a proponent of the future - the future of mobility....
